Photographs and negatives.

When the dry leaves danced in your boulevard
And the wind brushed past your face;
When you forgot to remember black and white
 unborn negatives from the past

And a tear of bliss failed to role down your face;
I was battling the lashes of rain.
The merciless brought with it photographs
And film reels that were never developed.
I shed a tear
Remembered you all along.

    And film reels that were never developed.... to me this speaks of parts in their life that never had the chance to grow... beautifully penned and welcome at dVerse

    1. To me, it speaks of the same. The "what ifs"

  3. This flows so nicely, Ayushee.
    We never forget even though we THINK the other does forget.
    We will never know what the other thinks, even though we meet we don't ask.
    It is a part of our lost world, I call it one of my other lives.

  4. I liked how your poem hinted at a story, and I as the bystander felt compelled to stop and overhear.
